Inquiring authors need to know: where do the people who read mythology hang out online? Facebook is certainly one place. I’ve compiled the following list of groups, organized from largest to smallest. Groups that discourage promotions are ranked separately below.
Greek mythology - Gods and Myth
This public group has 65,000 members. People post frequently each day. Posts include memes involving Greek mythology, documentaries about ancient Greece, and cartoons.
The True Norse Way
This private group has 13,900 members and posted numerous times in the past month. They discuss Norse gods and goddesses, and “do not censor unless it puts the group in jeopardy.”
Myths of the Scottish , Irish, Celts, and the Norse
This private group has 9,800 members. They post jokes and some history--mixed with music and pictures! 90 posts in the past month.
Norse and Germanic Mythology, History and Culture
This private group has 6,900 members. They discuss historical and cultural information about Germanic and Norse people, as well as some Viking cultures. They posted 232 times in the past month.
Esoteric Mythology
This private group has 2,600 members. They call themselves a “platform of Gods and Goddesses to display and express their divine principle.” They post 20 times a day. They like serious inspiration quotes.
World of Monsters - Creatures of mythology, movies, games, bestiary, D&D
This private group has 2,100 members. and posted 198 times in the past month. They post about monsters including hydras, sirens, minotaurs and many more.
Clan Mythology
This private group has 1,500 members and posts 4 times a month. “Dedicated to preserving spoken myths, legends, folklore and fairytale.”

This private group has 1,100 members. Ancient and modern folk tales, conspiracy theories, science, archaeology and anthropology will be also included topics, preferably as they relate to mythology and/or religion.

This private group has 969 members. They are discussing mythology from around the world & other cultures (i.e: Greek, Norse, Celtic, etc.) along with angels & demons. They post 20 times a day.

This private group has 10,900 members and posts 77 times a month. They are a share 4 share group, group share day is MONDAY (GMT). But they also say “Do not spam this group with links to your site or product, or try to self-promote your website, business or groups without prior consent, whether it is direct or in-direct, as all contents will be removed.”

Celtic and Nordic Essence
This private group has 50,200 members. They discuss Norse and Celtic mythology, paganism, music, and post pictures of relevant landscapes. Self-promotion is against the rules.
Dark Fantasy & Mythology Creatures & Characters Art
This private group has 18,700 members. They discuss “creatures & Characters from fantasy, mythology, comics and sci-fi. Dark side of this are encouraged. Only pagan gods pics are allowed.” They publish posts 50 times a day. Administrators have a three strikes rule for promotional materials.
Greek mythology in western art and literature
This U.K.-based public group has 17,400 members and posts 126 times a month. They examine “the legacy of Greek mythology in Western art and Literature from the classical era to the 19th century.” Posts of art inspired by the ancient will be declined, and self-promotion is against the rules.
World Mythology and History
This public group has 3,100 members. They post on everything ranging from yellow turtles in India to courses on Jungian archetypes. Post 30 times a day.

This private group has 2,800 members. They are “about symbols and mythology from around the world. Any kind of symbol. Everything from religion, dreams or mythology.” They post 10 times a day. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed.

This private group has 826 members. They call themselves “a coherent bridging of mythology and folklore from the past for the modern mind.” They posted 83 times in the past month. They discourage promotions and spam.
